WES Read-a-Thon

The Read-a-thon kicks off on Monday, October 12 and ends on Tuesday, October 27. We will be having a kick off assembly on Friday, October 9 with special guests from WHS Musical because "we're all in this together."

Read-A-Thon supports students at every grade level by focusing on minutes read, not pages, leaving students to read whatever they like. Anyone, anywhere, can donate to support student readers at your school!

To celebrate the read-a-thon, we will be having dress up days for students!

Be sure to check out the Wrightstown Community School District Facebook page each evening to catch our Nightly Mystery Reader sharing a bedtime story!

We will close the read-a-thon with an Earth Ranger STEM assembly and dress like your favorite character or Halloween costume. Please be mindful that costumes still need to follow appropriate dress at school, including no masks. Students should also be independent in taking their costume on and off for use in the bathroom. Students can stay in their costumes and can come with their families to participate in the Parent Network Trunk or Treat from 5-6pm.

Parent Teacher Conference Information

Fall conferences are coming up on November 9th and 11th! Conferences are a wonderful opportunity to check in with your child’s teacher and discuss their academic and social progress so far this school year.

You can schedule your child's conferences in Skyward. When you log into your Skyward account, there will be a tile labeled Fall Parent Teacher. Scheduling opens on Monday, October 26 at 8:30am and closes on Sunday, November 8 at 10:00pm.

Please keep the following details in mind as you plan your schedule:

*10-Minute Time Slots: Each conference slot will be 10 minutes long, with a bell ringing at the end to help keep everyone on schedule.

*Transition Time for Multiple Students: If you are scheduling conferences for more than one child, please be sure to account for transition time between classrooms. We strongly recommend leaving at least one 10-minute break between your scheduled times.

*Scholastic Book Fair: Be sure to stop by the Multi-purpose Room during your visit to check out the Scholastic Book Fair!

Veterans Day Program

We are honored to invite veterans and their families to our annual Veterans Day program on Friday, November 6, from 1:45 to 2:30 PM, followed by refreshments in the cafeteria after.
If you or a veteran you know plans to attend, please complete our Google form to help us plan for the event.

Absences

Absences should be called into the office at (920) 532-5553 by 8:30AM or parents will receive an automated phone call regarding their absent child. Please call the office if you have a late day message for your child. Please do not call or email the teachers directly as they are not always able to check their email or listen to voice messages until after school.

If your child will be missing one or more days of school due to a pre-arranged absence, please have your child pick up an absence form in the office.
